From the President, Moncton Kiwanis

It is a great honor to be the current president for Moncton Kiwanis Club, such big shoes to fill. I would like to acknowledge Rick Crossman (Past President) for his shared vision and compassion of our club, and our membership for giving me this opportunity.
The name "Kiwanis" was coined from an expression in an American Indian language, "Nunc Kee-wanis", which means, "we trade" or "we share our talents".  The heart and strength of Moncton Kiwanis are the members comprised of individuals representing the active forces and spirit of the Greater Moncton Area.  As volunteers we work through service to children and communities, to help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. We develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, and raise funds for community projects and much more. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed, great things happen. Our Kiwanis family works together as we believe, working together members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.

So welcome to our web page, please explore how Moncton Kiwanis takes part in this "Great Global Organization of Volunteers", dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. We hope our vision can be conveyed to you, and offer you the opportunity to interact with like-minded members, who realize children all deserve a chance. With just a little help and encouragement, their lives could be changed, hopefully for the better. A kind, caring and very giving organization with a rich history and exciting future awaits you!

Since joining Moncton Kiwanis in 2005, I have enjoyed benefits of personal growth through involvement and teamwork, and opportunities to become acquainted with people in many career areas, reflecting a wide range of volunteers, occupations and ages. The opportunities to help others are endless, and I am very proud to be a member of Moncton Kiwanis Club.
